The Vaso Profilo Bambu is an Italian terracotta planter with vertical ribbing that runs the full height of the form, loosely referencing bamboo. The surface is more pronounced than a standard fluted piece, giving it a stronger texture that reads clearly even from a distance.

Made in Impruneta from high-fired terracotta with a single drainage hole. The clay is naturally porous, allowing for airflow at the root level and helping regulate moisture. The surface starts matte and warm in tone, then deepens and develops variation over time outdoors. Frost-resistant, with good drainage recommended in colder conditions.

Well suited for ferns, ornamental grasses, or other plantings with movement, where the texture of the planter can echo the foliage. Works in both outdoor and covered settings, including terraces or interior spaces with good light.

Natural Variation

Each piece is made by hand from natural terracotta using traditional methods. Variations in color, texture, and finish are to be expected, and each piece will differ slightly.

Care Instructions

Clean with a soft brush or cloth and a mild, pH-neutral soap diluted in water. Avoid harsh chemicals and high-pressure washing, which can damage the surface. Clear away leaves, soil, and organic debris as they accumulate to help prevent staining. Over time, terracotta will develop a soft, natural patina. This gradual change is part of the character of the material.

Each piece is carefully packed and ships directly from our makers via palletized freight. Lead times vary by workshop and production schedule. Some pieces may ship in as little as 6 weeks, while made-to-order items typically require 3 to 4 months.

Because all orders travel on at least one pallet, a minimum shipping charge equivalent to the cost of the first pallet applies to every order, regardless of size. Whenever possible, we nest multiple pieces on a single pallet to make the most of your shipment. In many cases, additional pieces can be included at little or no extra cost.
